The Power of Technology for RCC Faculty

Overview:

In this session, we will explore technologies in the Microsoft 365 platform that will enhance your experience as an instructor.  The session will be held in RCC’s newest high technology lecture classroom so that we can demonstrate the capabilities of the 26 Hybrid/Flexible (HyFlex) classrooms, for in-person, fully virtual/remote and hybrid classes. During this session we will demonstrate: 

• How to use Microsoft Bookings to allow students to schedule office hour visits, either in person or virtually.;
• How to enter your entire semester’s class schedule in your Outlook Calendar and the benefits of doing so;
• How to find time on other employees’ calendar that are available for scheduling meetings using both the Scheduling Assistant in the Outlook Calendar as well as the built-in FindTime feature that allows polling of invitees to determine the best time to meet;
• The features and benefits of using Teams for virtual or HyFlex classrooms.
